Literacy teachers training

This workshop presents methods used by Queen’s University - Belfast for training trainers in Northern Ireland. These approaches are based on reflexive and constructive social processes.

Educational approaches used by Lire et Écrire Communauté française (Belgium) and in France for training, following-up and supporting trainers are also briefly addressed. The issue of the trainer’s profile (and his/her remuneration during training sessions) is also central to the debate.
